The African National Congress Women's League (ANCWL) sends it's heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Karabo Mokoena who went missing and whose burnt body was found in a field in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg.
The barbaric brutal killing of women and all forms of gender based violence must be treated as high priority crime in South Africa and all perpetrators such atrocities must be denied bail and a maximum sentence must be imposed if found guilty.The ANCWL applauds South African Police Services (SAPS) for their investigation which led to the arrest of Karabo 's ex-boyfriend.
The ANCWL appeals to the State to object bail when the alleged killer appears infornt of the Court.
